英语六级作文1800字：伞--生活的想法(Umbrella--Ideas for Life)
“you have kept this umbrella for years, its old and out of fashion. why do you still keep it and take it wherever you go?”
i smiled at her,“it means a lot to me.” i simply gave her my shortest answer

to be honest, i, either could not understand the reason why i keep it.
suddenly, a strong wind blew over with fallen leaves, which blocked my eyes. i
picked up the umbrella instinctively. then rain poured down. thanks to my big umbrella, i didnt get wet at all.
i stared at my huge umbrella,“why do i keep it so long?” i asked myself. i couldnt remember when and where i bought it, for i am always tired and lazy to answer questions. it could protect me from the heavy rain, i told myself eventually.
looking at the people rushing through the street, i felt safe. this might be another reason.
thunderstorms came unepectedly and went without a warning.
sky cleared up. the sun shone brightly. what a beautiful day!
just as usual, i seized umbrella with my left hand. still theres water dropping down. i walked among the noisy crowd and listened to what they were murmuring
in their heart.
“today i will ask for a rise, or i will leave this company.”
good luck to you, i smiled to him.
“i will manage to make you live forever.”a little boy held a pet dog close to him.
“she will be all right, because she is blessed.” i heard angels singing in this city...
when i touched my umbrella with my fingertips, i felt its dry, and its warm.
soon it became hot, i held it up to avoid harmful sunshine.
do i still need a reason to eplain why?
maybe i should think about it.
i need my umbrella when it is sunny as well as it is rainy.
